Black and White vs. Color

Artists of all kinds have emotions that others are not afflicted with. Singers, Writers, Painters, Actors and artists of all kinds must empathize, pull up emotions from their past or present, be it joy or pain, to make their art relatable and true. They must pull from a deeper place than others.

When they here song lyrics they live the song, whereas some are connected only to the beat. When they watch movies it directly affects their state of being in that moment because they see “behind the scenes” what each character is going through. Others take it at face value. They do not analyze every inch of their life.

I have told my husband several times, some see in color and some see in black and white. Neither is a bad thing, but they are very different views. My husband sees in black and white. He decides if something is right or wrong within moments, he is decisive and quick tempered. Me, I see in color. I am indecisive, I look at every single angle of the situation to come up with a judgment call. I constantly analyze my life.

Sometimes this view feels like a burden to me and makes it hard for others to understand my point of view. I think that is where a lot of conflict occurs in all areas of life.

If those that see or rather feel, in black and white tried to consider the color and those who see and feel in color try to look into the realm of black and white, we may be able to reach middle ground in this world.
