My playlist changes all the time. Some songs always stay though. There are special ones, those that make me feel a certain way or remind me of a moment that I never want to forget.

So here are some of the songs that always seem to empower me and remind me to smile back at my reflection and straighten my crown like the fucking Queen that I am!

Blow Me (one last kiss) - Pink

Do It Like A Dude - Jessie J

Just Like Fire - Pink

Legendary - Welshly Arms

Look What You Made Me Do - Taylor Swift

Party In The USA - Mikey Cyrus

Somethin' Bad - Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood

This Is Me from The Greatest Showman cover - Kesha

Woman - Kesha

you should see me in a crown - billie elish

Bad Bitch - Bebe Rexha

Two songs that have always been special to me because they remind me of Jerry, who was the best man and stepdad I could have ever hoped to have in my life are ‘Deadwood Mountain by Big and Rich’ (The song we danced to at my wedding.) After he passed away from Prostate Cancer; I could not stop listening to ‘Fare Thee Well by Oscar Isaac and Marcus Mumford’.

Ready for It? – Taylor Swift

365 – Zedd & Katy Perry

Jacobs song Halo by LP

Ain’t Easy – Elijah Woods & Jamie Fine

Animals – Maroon 5

Bad At Love – Halsey

Bad Liar – Imagine Dragons

***Bastards – Kesha

***Beautiful Trauma – Pink

Blank Space- I Prevail

Blood in the Water – Joanna Jones as the Dame

A few months after Jerry passed, I had to put my dog down because he had liver cancer. I had him for 12 years and I miss him every day. Dogs become family; there were a lot of times that he was all I had to hold on to. Some days he was the reason I got up and left the house. He gave me a purpose when there were times that I felt I had none. This song is in remembrance of him. ‘Goodbye, Dear Friend by Deer Tick’.

***Blood in the Cut – K. Flay

Demons – Jacob Lee

Broken Crown – Mumford & Sons

Bury a Friend – Billie Ellish

Con Calma- Daddy Yankee

***Devil Like Me – Rainbow Kitten Surprise

***Easier to Say – Grady

Everybody Know – Sigrid

Evil Ways – Blues Saraceno & Nicholas Patirck Kingsley

Fire – Barns Courtney

***Gatekepper – Jessie Reyez

Ghost – Badflower

Head Above Water – Avril Lavigne

‘Hurt by Christina Aguilera’. This song has always made me think of my biological father who walked out when I was 10. Over the years growing up I sometimes wondered if he would have been proud of who I became without him and if he ever regretted leaving us.

***Him & I – G-Eazy & Halsey

Like that – Bea Miller

Lost on You – LP

Make it Bun Dem - Skrillex & Damian “Jr Gong” Marley

Party in The U.S.A. – Miley Cyrus

Somebody Told Me – The Killers

Sweet but Psycho – Ava Max

***Taki Taki – DJ Snake

This is Me – Kesha

A song that is very emotional to me right now is ‘Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi’. A very close friend of mine recently betrayed me and kind of showed me who he really is. We still are not good, but at least we are starting to talk.

Thunder – Imagine Dragons

Thunderclouds – LSD feat. Sia, Diplo, and Labrinth

Walk Me Home – Pink

We Don’t Have to Dance – Andy Black

Breakeven – The Script

But We Lost It – Pink

***Drag The Lake – The Amity Affliction

Drowns The Whiskey – Jason Aldean

Saved the best for last. I was cruising with my hubby and this song was playing; he looked at me and said, “this is my song to you, because you could literally be anywhere with anyone and you're right here, holding my hand.” Love that man! ‘Small Town Boy by Dustin Lynch’.

Well there you go, a peek into some of the music that gets me through the day/week/life...
